Highlights.

Traditional highlights begin at the root of the hair and extend throughout the length. They are more solid and defined than balayage highlights. This is ideal for clients who wish to camouflage grey hair at the root.

*Note: This look is only available for short to medium length hair, approx. the length of the image above.

Balayage Highlights.

The Hair With Benefits signature balayage combines the traditional technique of painting the hair, with foil work for precision and lift. Unlike traditional highlights, balayage highlights create a “lived-in” look. This means there are no harsh lines as the highlights begin to grow out. This is ideal for for clients who want more dimension and minimal maintenance.

Balayage Ombre.

Ombre means to “shade” or “shadow”: the result is two-tone hair that appears in a gradient, darker at the top and lighter toward the bottom. The placement of colour gives a bold look, as the ends are solid rather than dimensional.

Achieving Ashy/Cool Tones ❄️

Going from dark to ashy/cool toned hair is a process. This can be any ash blonde, brunette, mushroom or silver tones. Most times, the hair needs to be lightened (i.e. bleached) multiple times in order to achieve a true ash tone. Multiple sessions are a good way to maintain the hair’s health.

  • Cost is per session.

Bleach-Free Colour 🌿

Bleach-free colour is a great choice for those looking for some low-maintenance dimension!

  • Bleach-free colour is a little gentler on the hair (no bleach is used!).

  • Bleach-free colour does not wash out/change tones the same way that a lightened colour would.

  • Bleach-free colour is only possible on virgin (not previously coloured) hair.
